LOGO BRANDING WEB DESIGN
DEPARTURE ARCHITECTURE
Dan Lajoie, the owner of Departure Architecture, felt it was time for a comprehensive rebrand and new website that better reflected the modern northwest design aesthetic he was known for.
During our brand discovery process, we dug deep to thoroughly understand the innate value Dan’s business offers, his core values, what makes Departure Architecture distinctive, who his target audience is, who the competition is, and how he wants to see his business portrayed. All of this helped inform our ultimate design choices.
As part of our process, we asked Dan to describe his work and the client experience. Here’s how he summed it up:
“At Departure Architecture, we’re passionate about designing sustainable site-driven homes. Our appreciation of Northwest life and materials comes through in every home we design. We create design solutions with integrated and seamless interior, exterior, and site elements, each responding directly to the owner’s desires, needs, budget, and context. When all these can come together in a harmonious way, a certain “rightness” occurs where we feel the home just belongs here. That’s our goal.”
And, he said to us: “That’s what I want you to do for me!”
Dan Lajoie was an inspiring client to work with and together, we landed on a brand identity that exudes that “sense of rightness” and does justice to the amazing designs and service his firm provides.
We presented three initial branding choices, fine-tuned Dan’s ultimate choice, and then built out the brand identity throughout the website and marketing materials. Work provided included a brand identity package (with logo, letterhead, envelopes, social media graphics, and business cards) and new website!
